We are a diverse group of women who share a passion for pregnancy and the birthing process. A good rapport with your doula is important to your birth experience; we support you in speaking with several doulas to find the one who's the best fit for you. Irma Kapsenberg, CD(DONA) is a Certified Birth Doula and completed her training in 2005. She is a retired elementary school teacher, originally from The Netherlands where her two oldest children were born at home. Her third baby was born in a US hospital. She believes that birth is a beautiful, personal, and natural part of life. Her many years of dog training experience can help you prepare your dog for your baby as well. Irma is also available as a postpartum doula. |

Kimberly's goal is to help each mother feel safe and inspired by her birth experience by feeling nurtured, supported and informed throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She is a biologist with a MS in ovarian physiology. She has been passionate about birth for as long as she can remember. Now a mother of three children, she combines this passion with a desire to help other families have rewarding birth and post-partum experiences. Becky Bricker, CD(DONA) has been a DONA-trained birth doula since 2001 and has been working with laboring moms and their babies since 1992. Her experience is in hospital births and her passion is labor and birth. Becky's goal is to help moms and their partners work through the birth process and try to achieve the experience they are hoping for. She has 2 adult daughters and a grandson, and lives in Philomath with her husband, Bruce. |

Stacey Eshelman Lindsay, CD, PCD(DONA), is a DONA-trained and certified birth and postpartum doula. Stacey has been working with pregnant moms and new families since 2002. She is passionate about the transition into parenthood and supporting families on this journey. Stacey has two daughters, one birthing in a hospital and the other at home. Stacey is also a Birthing From Within Mentor and custom baby sling maker. Stacey teaches 'Birthing From Within' childbirth classes, 'Birthin Again' classes and a variety of other classes based on natural and attachment parenting styles. |

She moved to Albany, OR in 2007 and is mother to 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren. She believes birth is a miracle, not to be feared but embraced. She offers knowledge and experience, encouraging partner participation, strengthening supportive, positive attitudes enabling women to trust in themselves and the birth process. Charissa Burnside is mother to three young children, having experienced a hospital birth, an unassisted water homebirth, and a midwife-assisted homebirth. She has successfully nursed all 3 into toddler-hood. Charissa understands and appreciates the joy and stress that the childbearing year brings. Her goal is to bring support, knowledge, and compassion to families. Charissa's training is through DONA as a birth (June 2005) and postpartum (June 2007) doula, working towards certification. She is also completing the Happiest Baby on the Block educators program to provide a variety of baby calming techniques. |

Ruth DeMaio has trained as a nurse, midwife, and educator in family health and childbirth, and has guided nearly 200 birthing families in hospitals, birth centers, and homes over the past 35 years. She has a retired husband and three adult, naturally-birthed, children, one of whom recently made Ruth a grandmother for the first time. Ruth is spending time with family and hopes to return to birth work soon. |

Christine Olsen, CD(DONA) is a Certified Birth Doula and completed her training in 2006. After receiving amazing support through her pregnancies and births, Christine is working to share the support with others. Her doula experiences include home and hospital birth in Corvallis, Salem, Eugene, and Portland. Christine also teaches ICEA childbirth classes in Corvallis. She has completed training for neonatal resuscitation and assisting midwives at homebirths, and has experience in hypnobirthing. Christine and her husband have two young children and are expecting a third this winter. She is honored to assist families in creating the birth they desire. Christine is on extended maternity leave, during which she is only teaching childbirth classes. She hopes to return to doula work soon. |
